I'm Astounded by Zara's Leather-Jacket Selection—Here Are My Favourites

In the autumnal equivalent of a spring clean—autumn clean?— I've turned my attention to the depths of my wardrobe, shedding the items that are no longer relevant or have ceased to excite me in favour of a streamlined selection that works with my current needs and wants. In this confronting process, I've recognised a surplus of items that no longer suit my style, and there's a clear deficit of certain core pieces that promise to make getting dressed a breeze

To give my wardrobe a much-needed refresh, I'm shopping for a few fashion pillars to see me through the colder months in style. Namely, I'm on the hunt for a does-it-all leather jacket in a classic biker style. Plenty of zips and a longline cut were top of my requirements for said jacket, and I found what I was looking for just a few clicks away at high-street hero Zara.

Featuring a hip-grazing cut, classic moto details and several subtle pockets, I met my match with Zara's Oversized Leather Jacket (£189). Having amassed a devoted following for its leather-jacket offering that taps into cropped, bomber and biker cuts in both leather and faux-leather materials, I'm hardly the first to snap one up this season.

A good leather jacket is a one-time investment that just gets better with age, and I know it will fill in that glaring gap in my wardrobe through every season for years to come. Whilst I've personally been looking for a longline style, Zara's oversized bomber and cropped biker jackets are already firm fashion favourites, so to shop the best of the bunch, see my edit of the best leather jackets from Zara below.
