Everyone Is Talking About Skims—Here Are the Pieces Our Editors Actually Own

After the third person in one week told me that not only were they wearing Skims underwear, but also that it was "the best underwear" they owned, I knew that, like it or loathe it, Kim Kardashian was officially onto a winner. No matter how you feel about the brand's owner and her famous family, it's undeniable that anyone who has actually tried Skims loungewear, shapewear and underwear loves it (albeit sometimes begrudgingly), and whilst the more viral moments aren't always about the most wearable items (ahem, the nipple bra and micro thong), we have to pay attention when a brand gets nothing but positive reviews.

After conducting a straw poll in the office, I was surprised to find that the majority of team Who What Wear UK had at least one Skims item hanging in their wardrobe or folded in their underwear draw (and believe me, they're a discerning bunch). So if you're on the lookout for some new underwear, shapewear, basics or just a bra that really fits, keep scrolling to see which pieces garnered reviews like "I absolutely love the bra. My mum and I both have it and think it's great." And, "I can’t lie; I feel like a bad B when I wear it". These are our top-reviewed Skims pieces that we wouldn't share with anyone else.

Where Can I Buy Skims in the UK?

The Skims website itself does international shipping, but if you're looking for speedy delivery or to try on in-store, you can also shop the brand at NET-A-PORTER, Selfridges and Harrods.

How Much Do Skims Pieces Cost?

The cheapest pieces on the site are the socks at around £6 per pair, but you can find T-shirts and tanks at £30-£40 and bras from £50, whilst special pieces like the Swarovski collab go all the way up to £800 for the limited-edition crystal body jewellery. All in all, it works out to be a little more expensive than high street but far cheaper than designer—not too bad for basics that you'll be able to wear on repeat.

FITS EVERYBODY LONG SLEEVED T-SHIRT

CHOSEN BY: SOPHIE COOKSON, INSIGHTS MANAGER

This easy long-sleeved cotton tee is the perfect layering piece for winter. Expect plenty of stretch without it going sheer, and with such a wide range of colours to try, it looks just as good tucked into jeans as it does under a cardigan.

FITS EVERYBODY TRIANGLE BRALETTE

CHOSEN BY: EMILY DAWES, AFFILIATE EDITOR

It makes sense that often, when the wearability of Skims is discussed, the conversation invariably comes back to this–the Fits Everybody Triangle Bralette. This non-wired, super-soft bra is the closest you'll come to feeling like you're wearing nothing at all whilst still getting enough support to be comfortable.

CHOSEN BY: REMY FARRELL, FASHION EDITOR

Oh, and should you be wondering, not only does the triangle bralette come in different shades of nude so you can match your skin tone, but there's also a DD plus option for those with a fuller bust.

I'm convinced that this colour suits every skin tone.

STRETCH-COTTON JERSEY T-SHIRT

CHOSEN BY: JOY EJARIA, SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR

If you're on the hunt for the perfect white tee, allow me to suggest Skims' Stretch-Cotton Jersey T-Shirt in Bone. The slightly warmer undertone is more flattering than true white, and it has the same flexible fit as the well-reviewed long-sleeved top.

The perfect throw-on-and-go top you can wear with jeans and trainers or leather trousers and heels.

SOFT LOUNGE LONG SLEEVE DRESS

CHOSEN BY: HANNAH ALMASSI, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND JOY EJARIA, SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR

This viral dress really needs no introduction, but for those unfamiliar with the lounge/nightdress hybrid, the smoothing and elongating effects are so good that everyone is wearing it outside too. Consider this the item to reach for when you "have nothing to wear" but still want to feel your best.

SEAMLESS SCULPT BODYSUIT

CHOSEN BY: REBECCA RHYS EVANS, BRANDED CONTENT EDITOR

Branded content editor Rebecca chose this seamless body for its shaping prowess when attending her wedding dress fittings, so it had to stand up to some rigorous testing to be good enough to wear on her big day. In the end, it came out top for its invisibility under clothing and firm yet comfortable hold.

You can also choose between a thong, brief or shorts version.

SOFT LOUNGE LONG SLIP DRESS

CHOSEN BY: GEORGIA SEAGO, COPY EDITOR

Another Skims dress to win over the team, Georgia's review that this is the dress that makes her "feel like a bad B" should tell you everything you need to know. Slinky, figure-hugging and stocked in sizes XXS to 4XL, this really is a dress that flatters every body.

The kind of dress you can wear all year round. Just imagine how good this would look for sunset drinks in the summer.

SEAMLESS SCULPT STRAPLESS BRA

CHOSEN BY: POPPY NASH, MANAGING EDITOR

Any bra that can win over shoppers in their 20s and 50s alike is well worth every penny, and for managing editor Poppy Nash and her mum, this simple bandeau is the only strapless bra worth investing in. Not only does it stay in place (not an easy feat for a strapless bra), but it doesn't roll or bunch, and unlike most clasped bras, you can simply slip it on overhead for a smoother silhouette.

Better yet, the Fits Everybody Bandeau comes in 12 different colours.

FITS EVERYBODY THONG

CHOSEN BY: REMY FARRELL, FASHION EDITOR

There's something about pulling on this seamless thong that feels more like stepping into a pair of tights than constricting underwear. We've all experienced the nightmare of a thong that doesn't fit properly and forces you to spend the day trying to subtly readjust, but these ultra-light knickers feel so feather-soft that you'll forget they're even on. Don't be put off by how small they look when they come out of the packaging; they stretch to fit without digging in and don't leave any visible lines.

Easily my favourite colour in the range.
