This Trending Eye Makeup Look Is So Easy To Recreate
There is a new eye makeup trend in town and it’s the best one yet. An evolution of the traditional classics, the smokey eye and the cat eye, the siren eye makeup trend is our latest obsession. With over 440 million views on the hashtag #sireneyes, and an increase of over 300% on Google search, it’s definitely proving to be popular. But what exactly is the siren eye look, coined by beauty creator Danielle Marcan? It’s a way to effectively draw on a seductive, mysterious and feminine siren energy.

@joannacoopsIf you’re looking for an easier way to recreate the look, makeup artist Ere Perez suggests using a soft and subtle eye liner pencil instead of something bolder. She suggests using the Ere perez Jojoba Eye Pencil to wing out your classic cat eyeliner. “It’s soft enough to blend to a smokey eye, but long-wearing and stays in place” she explains. Another useful tip is to “lay down a taupe eyeshadow on upper eyelids first” , says Jillian Dempsey. From there, “draw a line along the upper lash line using a black eyeliner, to draw out and extend out in a slightly upward line but not too high, a little straighter than a flick’’ noting her go-to as the Jillian Dempsey Jet Black Khol Eyeliner. Next, soften the eyeliner with a small brush and “use a liquid pen liner along the upper lash line again, maintaining a thin line and keeping this more linear. You can extend this line out if it feels right on your eye shape” she says, and with the siren eye look, that is both the inner and outer corners of your eyes.

The key to the siren eye look is to go in slow and steady and a kohl eyeliner pencil, as this gives you all the control. The Jillian Dempsey Kohl EyeLiner pencil is great for creating a subtle siren eye liner for everyday, while also allowing you to build up the intense for a more dramatic look.
Complete the look with lashing of mascara, to give you that extra oomph. One of the few natural waterproof mascaras on the market, the Ere Perez avocado mascara, not only is great for the health of your lashes, but gives copious amounts of volume.

@hunvanngoCreate a flawless base with the Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pots, available in a range of shades for everyone's perfect base colour. Building your siren eye look on top of a toned down base, allows for your eyeliner to make a statement.
If your preferred medium is gel eyeliner, you can't go wrong with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Waterproof creme colour, a lush creamy texture that is simple to work with and sets so it lasts all day.

@hungvanngoI have to admit, I never quite got the hang of eyeliner, but one thing that has made it easier is using eyeshadow instead pens or gel. I adore this palette by Makeup by Mario. It has 12 of the most versatile shades in one palette. I like going between the brown and black shade to create the siren eye for day and night. It also has the most gorgeous shade for inner corner highlighter, which really helps to finish up the look.
A good brush makes all the difference, this Shaquda brush was specifically designed for smokey eyes, but the thinly tapered end makes it perfect for drawing out your siren eye lines. Plus it's fluffy enough, so you can also blending it out for that smokey effect, without having to pick up a different brush.
