The Most Jaw-Dropping Looks From the 2023 MTV VMAs

After a pared-down Venice Film Festival and a postponed Emmys due to the ongoing SAG strike, I'm delighted to say that we finally have a full-on red carpet moment thanks to today's MTV Video Music Awards. And it's a good one, folks. The VMAs are notorious for supplying some of the most outrageous red-carpet looks in fashion history. To wit: I recently revisited the most iconic '90s looks from the VMAs and found a ton of amazing gems courtesy of The Spice Girls, Pamela Anderson, and others. 

Now, back to 2023. This year's performers include Shakira, Cardi B, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, and others. Presenters include Sabrina Carpenter, Dove Cameron, Emily Ratajkowski, Madelyn Cline, Billy Porter, Rita Ora, Tiffany Haddish, and others.
