Want to Know What to Buy in 2024? 6 Fashion Experts Share Their Wish Lists
Having used the excuse "I'll start next year" for the past three months, it's now time I actually have to start making a few minor life changes. And while joining the local gym and cutting back on chocolate may last a mere few days into 2024, I'm hoping my aim of shopping more consciously sticks. I actually thought a lot harder about what I needed in my wardrobe, rather than wanted during 2023, and for the new year, I want to be even better at streamlining my wardrobe using the items I know I'll wear on repeat.
I've thought about the Loewe Paseo in monochrome since it dropped a few months back, so I'm going to get it as a new-year treat—I know I'll wear across all seasons. And I've finally found the best red knit in the men's section at COS, so this is also on my wish list. But enough about me, I also wanted to find out what my fellow fashion friends at Who What Wear have set their sights on for 2024. Luckily, the stylish lot have all shown me four items firmly on their shopping lists, and I'm not one to gatekeep, so here's a sneak peek at what the team will actually be wearing in 2024.

@hannahalmassiA lot of people buy their coats in August ahead of a new season, but I'm more of a wait-and-see-what-I-actually-
I'm never not in the market for a bit of Rixo, and I recently got their silk leopard-print skirt. It's great to wear with a chunky knit (I'd recommend H&M's cashmere blend jumper) and boots during the colder months.
One of my biggest fashion regrets is not snapping up a pair of the old Céline Madame boots, and they're now wildly expensive secondhand. So I was happy to find these chic ankle boots as I think they're actually more wearable than my OG love thanks to the lower heel.
A brown bag works with almost everything else I own, and everyone asks me where this beauty is from—she's a keeper!

@maxineeggenbergerI've never invested in a pair of designer sunglasses but, seeing so many people looking incredibly chic in this Celine Triomphe pair, I've decided to treat myself and embrace my Meredith Blake era.
I have a thing for Dôen dresses and, with a couple of weddings to attend in the first few months of the year, I'm thinking this dress needs to come into the fold.
Coats are one of my favourite things to invest in, but it means I'm running low on jackets. If I could have any in 2024, it would be this one from Nanushka.
Brown is one of the biggest colour trends for 2024, and I wouldn't mind adding these gorgeous suede boots to my line-up.

@remyfarrellNo matter the occasion, I invariably find myself heading for Rixo's new-in section to find a dress that will work, so imagine my surprise when the piece that stopped mid-scroll was in fact a jumpsuit. Combining all of the best bits of the waistcoat and wide-leg trouser trends, I can see myself wearing this slinky velvet number for dinners, drinks, date night, party season, birthdays...the list is endless.
Sorry (not sorry), but i'm a sucker for vinyl. It doesn't matter how long I've had a piece in my wardrobe, the second I throw on a glossy, high-shine layer I get stopped in the street and asked what I'm wearing. It most recently happened while I was wearing Kitri's black vinyl Simone coat, but next on my wishlist are these snakeskin trousers from the brand. I have a sneaky feeling that these will go with a lot in my wardrobe—animal print is a neutral right?
I like to give my workwear a little refresh for the new year, and this COS blazer is firmly on my to-get list. It's so easy to throw on over a knit dress or a roll neck with a slip skirt—I love with and without the matching skinny tie belt. Chic.

@poppynashIn 2024, I really want to continue to put the 'buy less, but buy better' ethos into practice. With that in mind, I'll be purchasing classic pieces that have long been on my wish list and that I know will last for years, like this Frankie Shop coat. I just know it will go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe.
I've always loved a cardigan, and after investing in the black iteration of this style earlier this winter, I'm now ready to add the grey to my knitwear capsule. I'll wear it with jeans, cosy socks and trainers at the weekend or over a slip skirt with knee-high boots to the office.
In an ideal world, I'd be adding this to my handbag collection in 2024. I love the idea of the chocolate brown hue as opposed to classic black, as I feel it would look equally as stylish with denim and dark winter colours as it will with whites and pastels in summer. A girl can dream, right?
Finally, 2024 is going to be the year I find my perfect denim shirt. I've tried so many over the years and none have quite worked; I don't suit that traditional straight, relaxed denim shirt so am looking for something with a pretty twist like puff sleeves or a grandad collar. This ARKET style might be the one.

@natalieemunroWith a simple button fastening and deep chocolate shade, this fuss-free coat ticks all of my boxes.
The perfect party dress. Super chic, ultra-feminine and dressy enough to wear to any upcoming event in 2024. This winter I’ll be styling this with black Mary Janes or a sleek kitten heel.
Ever on the hunt for the perfect knee high boots, I’m currently enamoured with Reformation’s classic pair. In a deep ruby shade, I think I’ve finally met my match.
Blending nonchalance with easy elegance, off-the-shoulder jumpers have found their way to the top of my winter wish list. Taking the crown is this fine knit wool style from MaxMara. This season I’ll style it with silky skirts and baggy jeans, before graduating to a mini skirt pairing in the spring.

@harriet.daveyI've had this Loewe bag in my Saved on Net-a-Porter for months, and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going to justify finally buying it in January by telling myself (on repeat) how I can wear it across all seasons, for many years to come etc. etc.
If been looking for the perfect red sweater—that's an orangey red, rather than festive red—and I've found it in the men's section at COS. I'll be wearing this with tailored trousers and loafers or tied around my shoulders to liven up my grey maxi coat.
I haven't looked at Topshop on ASOS for a while, but it has so many great trousers and coats at the moment. I really like this tailored crossover pair in black or the khaki colour they also come in.
Yep, another jumper, because this summer person does not want to be cold. Also, I'm very into V-necks at the moment, and burgundy, so this one is just an all-round winner in my eyes.
