Don't skip out on John Lewis' own brand for wardrobe staples, though—I really rate the quality.

We all know Harrods is the destination for luxury buys, and I can recommend heading there to treat yourself (or your loved ones) to winter investment buys (there's so many great designer bags), luxe eveningwear and seriously special gifts in the run-up to the festive period.
