@_marisamartins_Whilst we don't want to mess with the classics too much (you really can't go wrong with a white tank top, after all), I've really noticed that the tank-top offering right now feels more eclectic than ever, so you can really pick and choose according to your tastes and wardrobe requirements. Personally, I've been enjoying the crinkle-effect tops—as seen within the textured styles that you can shop below—as they offer a slightly more elevated spin on the classic tank and look just as good tucked into jeans as they do with matching trousers and strappy heels.

If your palette could use a lift, & Other Stories has a selection of elegant tank tops with sweetheart necklines and ribbed fabrics in a plethora of hues. ARKET is another high-street brand with a strong selection of styles; this racer-front in particular has caught my eye.
I couldn't let you scroll on, however, without highlighting my personal favourite if you're looking for an affordable, covers-all-bases style: H&M's Ribbed Vest Top (£7). It comes in seven shades, a range of sizes (from XXS to 4XL) and is made from a thick, sturdy cotton. I'm not the only one who loves it, though, and it repeatedly sells out, so much so that it's become like gold dust to get hold of.
