I'm a Fashion Editor—16 Affordable Jewellery Brands I Wish I Could Keep a Secret

Let's be straight here: There's absolutely a time and place for fine jewellery (aka those future heirlooms that are purchased for a big birthday or presented in a little black box). But these aren't necessarily the pieces you want to be wearing on the average working day sitting in front of a laptop screen. One thing's for sure: There'll always be a space in our accessory arsenal for affordable jewellery that caters to our low-key fashion needs.

I, for one, don't subscribe to the idea that in order to look stylish you need to exclusively splash the cash on designer wares. I buy most of my jewellery from affordable brands and it has happily served me for years. It's all about keeping a beady eye out for a good-quality piece or classic design that will stand the test of time and cater to a variety of outfits and occasions.

If you're not sure where to start, let me help you. Below I'm sharing my little black book of chic (but more affordable) jewellery brands, whether that be high-street stores or lesser known gems. Founded in London in 2018 by Damasia Ball and Philippine de Follin, Daphine specialises in classic, timeless designs that are created to transcend trends. The brand's cocktail rings are a particular favourite of the fashion crowd.

For affordable jewellery pieces that can be mixed and matched and layered up, take a look at Astrid & Miyu's collections. The minimal chains and gold vermeil hoops are perfect for both birthday presents and treat-yourself buys.

From asymmetric earrings to pendant necklaces, Amelia Scott is your one-stop shop for quirky, adorable jewellery. I have my eye on the Amelia Bow Earrings, which come in a few different variants and colours, so you can find the ones that suit you perfectly. 

I currently own a couple of chain and dainty layering necklaces from Daisy Jewellery, and I wear them every day. Like, I don't even take them off to shower (and they still look good as new). Toeing the line between trend-led and classic, it has everything from pearl pendants to Art Deco–inspired shield rings. 

If you've spent any time on Instagram, you've likely come across this influencer-favourite jewellery brand. This is one of the best of the bunch. Accessorize is an undisputed staple of the high street and online jewellery scene. In amongst the timeless, classic gems, you'll find striking costume and sterling silver pieces for £50 and under. Head to the new in sections for the latest and greatest. 

With a mix of pieces and price points, Thomas Sabo has become a go-to for those classic jewellery pieces—especially if you like silver jewellery. Not so much a lesser-known secret, but a good one to keep in your repertoire all the same. 

The entire WWW team love Mejuri for modern classics, especially the rings and hoops. The croissant dome ring is a particular favourite.

I'm having a bit of an ear-cuff moment, and Orelia has the best selection right now—and at such an affordable price point! Most are under £20. I'm eyeing the wavy ear cuff in particular.

For classic designs and personalisable alphabet jewellery, take a look at Rachel Jackson London. I only discovered the brand recently, but I won't be forgetting it anytime soon.
